IMPORTANT REGULATORY NOTICE: AetherCoin (AEC) is a decentralized cryptographic utility protocol. It is NOT a financial investment product, registered stock, security, or guaranteed passive earning system. You bear all risks of cryptographic asset volatility.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, launching, or transacting with the AetherCoin wallet software and network nodes, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these conditions, you must immediately destroy all local wallet databases and cease network activities.

2. Self-Custody and Private Key Responsibility

AetherCoin is built on zero-trust cryptography. We do not act as custodians of your assets:

You are strictly and solely responsible for storing and safeguarding your private keys, passwords, and 12/24-word backup seed phrases.
If you lose your private keys or seed phrase, there is no system reset, customer support, or admin bypass to restore your assets. All coins in the corresponding addresses will be permanently locked and unrecoverable.
We assume zero liability for losses resulting from compromised devices, phishing attacks, malware, or incorrect recipient addresses.

3. Prohibited Activities

When utilizing the AetherCoin software or network infrastructure, you agree strictly not to:

Illegal Usage

Engage in terrorist financing, narcotics trafficking, weapons smuggling, or any activity prohibited under your local state or federal regulations.

Market Manipulation

Participate in artificial wash-trading, spoofing, "Pump & Dump" schemes, or misleading publicity to inflate coin value.

Protocol Exploits

Attempt to bypass network consensus rules, initiate sybil/51% attacks, or distribute corrupted client code designed to harm nodes.

Sanction Evasion

Access the network from restricted, high-risk regions or state entities subject to international trade embargos.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE AETHERCOIN SOFTWARE AND PROTOCOL ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE CONTRIBUTORS, FOUNDATION, DEVELOPERS, OR NODE OPERATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, LOSS OF COINS, DATA CORRUPTION, SYSTEM CRASHES, OR FINANCIAL COLLAPSE ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE.
